Kaprálik scores in last home game

Adrián Kaprálik said goodbye in his last home game for Górnik this season with a good performance and his eleventh competitive goal in the 2023/2024 season.

The clash with relegation fighting Puszcza Niepolomice (1:1) did not go at all as Górnik had hoped, going down to ten quite early after a red card, but it was still the home side who went into the lead. And it was thanks to Adrián Kaprálik, who after a nice pass from Podolski skillfully broke into the end and opened the scoring  sheet with a cold-blooded shot.

"I was really happy for the goal because I haven't scored for a long time. It was a tough game physically, especially because we were one man down, but from my point of view it was a big positive that I played on the wing, where I feel very good," admitted one of the most active players on the field.

His performance could not end up with a single goal. Kaprálik had other chances to make his scoring sheet rise and help Górnik win last home game. Unfortunately, it didn´t. "My main regret was the solo run at the goalkeeper, I should have put the ball further away, but somehow I had it under my feets and I could not make any trick. It's a pity," added 'Kapo'.

The visitors asserted themselves after one of the set-pieces, which is one of their strengths.

In the last round, Górnik travels to Pogoń Szczecin, who will decide the final position between 4th and 7th place in the Ekstraklasa table.

For Adrián, Friday's goal was his 7th Ekstraklasa and overally 11th competitive goal in the current season, as he added one in the Polish Cup and two at the beginning of the season in the UEFA Conference League while still in the jersey of his mature club MŠK Žilina.

Shortly after the end of the season, ´Kapo´ will join the Slovak national team's camp, which will later be divided into "A" and "U21" teams, as both of them have scheduled friendly games in early June.
