Štetina and Ewerton with cup trophy

Congratulations! Lukáš Štetina (Spartak Trnava) and Ewerton (Slavia Praha) have won the League Cup in Slovakia and Czechia, respectively.

In early May final games, Spartak Trnava has beaten Slovan Bratislava 3-1 after overtime and Slavia beat arch rivals Sparta on their home ground with 2-0.

For Štetina, who was one of the bet players in fantastic final game, it´s been the second career and league cup trophy as he was a player of Sparta Prague when winning the trophy in 2019/2022.

"It was like dream day, great crowd on the stands, good weather and victory against our biggest rival. You can not imagine better scenario, however, 120 minutes was pretty much. But the trophy is in our hands and this counts," says Štetina.

Ewerton did not take part in final game, but scored once against Dukla Prague in competition´s third round. After he struggled with few injuries which prevented him from playing bigger portion of games.

"I am so happy, Prague is ours," smiled Ewerton, celebrating with his family which came from Brasil to Prague for the first time. "We have the trophy, which is fantastic if you see how we managed to make it. Our fans were great. We will celebrate now, but the league is still ongoing and we will do the best to make this season even more successfull," added Ewerton.
